Operation Christmas Child

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

IT’S SHOEBOX TIME! EACH YEAR, Samaritan’s Purse sends gift-filled Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to children in need around the world together with the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. By filling ordinary shoeboxes full of toys and other fun items, you can be part of giving boys and girls what may be their first gift ever! Each box bursting with items such as a soccer ball, doll, or stuffed animal becomes a tangible expression of God’s love to the child, their family, and their community. Pick up a shoebox to pack or fill your own and return it to the church by November 9th.

Family Ministries Volunteer Fun

Sunday November 16 / 4 – 6 PM
This will a night out for the Family Ministries’ volunteers at COURTS & COMMONS. A fun night out for all of us adults to just hang out, play and visit together. Your Family Ministry Team has reserved the COURTS & COMMONS in Bixby for all our Next Generation volunteers. COURTS & COMMONS is a pickleball recreation center with a food court. No cost for the pickleball, plan to buy your own food and we’ll have a great time being together without the responsibility of the kids and students. Courts & Commons has 4 food options: American food, pizza, Mexican food, and smoothies/fruit bowls. Food cost ranges from $15-$25 for a meal and drink depending on the food stall. So, make plans to be there, get a babysitter for your own kids, and come enjoy a night with all the other adults who serve in our next generation ministries. We do ask that you RSVP for planning purposes.

house of prayer

House of Prayer

“My house shall be a house of prayer.” – Luke 19:46. Our new weekly prayer time as a church happens every Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:30pm. Each week we will pray over requests that are personal and that the church has received, we will have a specific prayer focus, and a general prayer time. Between moments in prayer we will sing to the LORD, hear and share testimonies, hear a devotion, and spend time praying with others in the room. It will look like a night of discipleship, praying with people through life and a personal time of prayer and worship centered on God’s presence.

Preschool, Kids, and Student Ministry will be meeting weekly. Adults will have the opportunity to invest in the faith of the next generation or gather for prayer. Choir and other Bible studies that had previously met have moved to other times or merged into the prayer meeting. (The exception being some unique support group ministries we work with).

PRAYER

PRAYER

Do you have a need or a concern you’d like our church family to pray about with you? Maybe you’ve seen answered prayer in your life and you’d like to share it with others. Email pray@fbcjenks.org to let us know your prayer requests and answered prayers. This will also help us to maintain our prayer list and inform us of opportunities for testimonies.

Kids MidWeek

Register your children for Kids’ MidWeek 2025-26!

We’re excited for your family to join us! We’ll learn about these ordinary people in which God did amazing things. In addition, we’ll be strengthening Bible literacy, worship, and scripture memory all while building intentional relationships and having a whole lot of fun! All Kindergarten through 6th graders are invited to join us every week! Preschool programing available for parents attending the Midweek Prayer Service or serving.

Parents should remain on campus participating joining in the Prayer Service in the main Worship Center or serving in one of our Next Generation ministries.

Hope your family will join us for Midweek this year.
